National Council of Nonprofits Welcomes Rachelle Furst as Program Director, Leading from Strength

Washington, D.C. – The National Council of Nonprofits (NCN) announced that Rachelle Furst has joined their team as the inaugural Program Director of the Leading from Strength initiative.

Prior to joining NCN, Rachelle was Executive Director of Whippoorwill Arts, where she helped build the first nonprofit dedicated to investing in and uplifting the work of Roots musicians. During her nonprofit career, she designed programs, launched a national research study, designed and oversaw a grant program, analyzed outcomes, and reported to a myriad of stakeholders spanning across the country. 

“I am thrilled to join the National Council of Nonprofits as the Program Director of Leading from Strength,” said Rachelle Furst. “NCN's dedication to supporting and uplifting nonprofit organizations aligns with my own passion for driving impactful change through innovative and equitable programming. I look forward to working with this exceptional team to empower nonprofits nationwide.”

Furst holds a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Management and certifications in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). As a nonprofit professional and self-described artist and change agent, she is committed to promoting social justice and equity by creating a more equitable, just society for all.
