National Council of Nonprofits Welcomes Five Distinguished Leaders to Its Board of Directors

The National Council of Nonprofits (Council of Nonprofits) announces the election of respected nonprofit leaders from across the country to its Board of Directors.

Beginning their terms on the Board of Directors in 2021 are:

These leaders bring their vast experiences and accomplishments to advance the work of nonprofits nationwide. From a leader recognized as one of Jacksonville’s 40 Under 40 to the first Hispanic American woman to lead the federal Minority Business Development Agency, these leaders’ backgrounds in business, government, and nonprofits will further strengthen the Council of Nonprofits as it enters its fourth decade.

The organization is also proud to announce the following officers, elected by their peers to serve in 2021-2022:

  • Chair – Marnie Taylor, President and CEO, Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits
  • Vice Chair – Liz Moore, Executive Director, Montana Nonprofit Association
  • Secretary – Kate Rubalcava, CEO, Utah Nonprofits Association
  • Treasurer – Doug Sauer, CEO, New York Council of Nonprofits

“We are privileged to have such accomplished individuals helping guide the National Council of Nonprofits’ work,” said Tim Delaney, President and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits. “The nationwide challenges of the past year tested and demonstrated the resilience of nonprofits, as the pandemic and the resulting economic damage have led millions more people to seek out nonprofits for assistance with food, housing, mental health services, and more. Nonprofits have been on the front lines, helping people make it through the multiple crises. We’re excited to welcome such an illustrious group of leaders to our national Board of Directors.”

“The work of nonprofits in communities across the country couldn’t be more important than at this moment,” said Marnie Taylor, President and CEO of the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits and Chair of the National Council of Nonprofits Board of Directors. “From promoting individual and public health and enriching lives through the arts to advancing social justice, nonprofits are part of the fabric of our economy and our communities. These five leaders bring not just a wealth of knowledge, but also a reputation for rolling up their sleeves to strengthen their communities. I look forward to working with them as the National Council of Nonprofits continues to connect, champion, and inform nonprofits across the country.”
