This has been an emotional week for our country. Whatever you are feeling—whether that is grief, relief, anger, or another emotion—you are not alone. Our sector’s strength is in how we bring people together in service of others. Elected officials come and go. Our efforts to support our communities endure.
For NCN’s part, our mission and living our core values will not change. We will continue to connect, champion, and inform nonprofits nationwide. And our commitment to equity will not waver. We have never hesitated to call out administrations of either party when they do things that would harm the work of nonprofits – and we don’t intend to start now.
The next year will include many pointed debates that will affect our collective work—from potential changes to the tax code that could enhance charitable giving to potential threats to the bedrock principle of nonprofit nonpartisanship. Yesterday, we hosted a webinar to discuss what the election results mean for nonprofits. You can view the recording on our YouTube channel and can stay updated about advocacy efforts at the federal, state, and local levels by subscribing to our other newsletter, Nonprofit Champion.
We look forward to continuing our efforts on behalf of communities across the country and around the world, together. |
