“All things seem possible in May," observed American conservationist Edwin Way Teale. While he focused on nature, it’s possible – and important – for us all to focus on mental health as we learn more, during May’s National Mental Health Awareness Month, with insights from a nonprofit, NAMI, and its “More than Enough” campaign. We’re also celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, with help from another nonprofit: PBS, which always shines a light on AANHPI experiences and filmmakers in May. In this issue, we provide a sneak preview of a few results from last month’s Nonprofit Workforce Survey. With May also being National Military Appreciation Month, we hope our article on the Military Spouse Fellowship Program identifies a timely solution for at least a few of our readers to connect with great talent. The clock is ticking with only one remaining week before the federal government runs out of money to pay its bills; such an event would be catastrophic and unthinkable, and we hope it never happens, but we’re taking this opportunity to remind our readers about the importance of financial literacy and scenario planning. |
