Advocacy is identifying, embracing and promoting a mission. Every nonprofit advocates, whether you use the word “advocacy” or not. If you’re new to advocacy, start small. Here’s an idea: add policymakers (e.g., city officials, state legislators, congressional delegation, etc.) to your mailing list. Check out these everyday advocacy resources for more ideas.
