For nonprofits, easiest not always best

Such abuses could lead to further distrust of the nonprofit sector and affect local individual and corporate donations that are the backbone of local nonprofit contributions. One warning signal: The IRS approved 94,365 applications from organizations seeking tax exempt status in fiscal year 2014. That’s more than double the number approved in the previous two years.
