Nonprofit Group Says IRS Reform Bill Should Revoke Form 1023-EZ

The Taxpayer First Act should add a provision revoking Form 1023-EZ and require the IRS to replace it with a streamlined form that gathers the necessary information to ensure tax exemptions are only given to eligible organizations, the National Council of Nonprofits said in an April 6 letter to the House Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee.
