NC Center for Nonprofits Founder Jane Kendall Will Retire in November

Jane Kendall, founder and president of the N.C. Center for Nonprofits, will retire in November after 25 years as one of North Carolina’s and the nation’s foremost advocates for the nonprofit sector.

Kendall founded the N.C. Center for Nonprofits in 1990 and guided its growth into a 1,500-member organization that serves nonprofits and foundations of all sizes in each of North Carolina’s 100 counties. The Center offers comprehensive information on effective practices for nonprofit governance, financial management, human resources, and legal requirements. It monitors public policy changes that impact all nonprofits and has advocated frequently and successfully for policies that support their work.
