Governor LePage holds third budget town hall

Printer-friendly version

It has been two months since the Governor unveiled his proposed budget, and people have had time to crunch the numbers.

Lori Gramlich, Director of Public Policy for the Maine Association of Nonprofits, said LePage's budget will have a big impact on nonprofits.

"The Good Shepherd Food Bank would have to pay a tax of $24,500 dollars which equals 100,000 meals for hungry Mainers," said Gramlich. "We are talking about organizations that bring an extraordinary benefit to the community, and we're very concerned."
