Delaware nonprofits recognized in state proclamation
“If you live in Delaware you benefit from non-profits everyday whether you realize it or not and part of this is to hopefully get the folks to start thinking about it,” explained Christopher Grundner, president and CEO of DANA. “At this time of year where nonprofits are a little bit crunched at the end of the year, we’re hopeful that everybody will give back whether they’re volunteering or giving their dollars, their support is needed.”
Nonprofits in the state employ more than 60,000 Delawareans, making up 14 percent of the state’s workforce.
Grudner said he’s hopeful Delawareans will think of their local nonprofits on “Giving Tuesday” which falls on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
