Chesapeake Energy Corp. is donating a northwest Oklahoma City office strip mall housing dozens of nonprofit agencies to the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits.

Chesapeake and the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits announced the donation of the Chesapeake Community Plaza on Wednesday.

Marnie Taylor, the center's president and chief executive officer, said the donation is one of the most significant gifts in the history of her organization.

"This is absolutely a transformational gift to the center, but I also see it as a gift to the entire nonprofit sector," she said during an interview at the center's office, which is housed on the plaza property.
