Bravo’s new mission: Help all Delaware nonprofits

Bravo’s new mission: Help all Delaware nonprofits

Printer-friendly version

Sheila Bravo thinks it’s amazing how many people work in the nonprofit sector in Delaware. As the new president and corporate executive officer of the Delaware Alliance for Non-profit Advancement, she’s looking to help all of them.

“There are so many great nonprofits out there, so many great people who want to make a difference,” said Bravo, who started her new job on Aug. 31, after five years as the executive director of the Rehoboth Art League.

She realizes while many people are passionate about the nonprofit work they do, it doesn’t mean they are automatically good business people. That’s where DANA can help, she said. The 30-year-old organization provides information on best practices, board management, fundraising, tax laws, anything that is needed to help those passionate people stay passionate, not bogged down.
