Nonprofits are facing an unprecedented challenge: Revenues have plummeted and at the same time, demand for their services has skyrocketed, said Rick Cohen, chief operating officer at the National Council of nonprofits.
Finding ways to reach donors is even more important right now as our interactions with others are being limited.
So we asked Tim Delaney, president and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, what this means for these organizations.
“In the past couple of days, the number of cancellations have skyrocketed,” said Jim Klocke, the head of the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN).
"There's a lot of frustration, some anger. Concern and anxiety. How is this going to impact our fundraising?" Kentucky Nonprofit Network executive director Danielle Clore asks.
“Overall, the final regulations don’t rock the boat at all,” Jennifer Chandler of the National Council of Nonprofits told Tax Notes.
"For large organizations, the donor list is something that's constantly cultivated and jealously protected," said David L. Thompson, an attorney who is vice president of public policy at the Washington-based National Council of Nonprofits.
