• The Council of State Governments
  A nonpartisan forum for all three branches of state governments to come together and share ideas and best practices. 
• National Association of Attorneys General
  NAAG works to aid state Attorneys General provide their states and territories with the best legal services possible. 
• National Conference of State Legislatures
  A bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's states, commonwealths, and territories.  NCSL provides research, technical assistance, and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues.
• National Governors Association
  A bipartisan organization of the nation's Governors that promotes visionary state leadership, shares best practices, and speaks with a unified voice on national policy.
• National Association of Counties
  NACO improves the public's understanding of county government, assists counties in finding and sharing innovative solutions through education and research, and provides value-added services to save counties and taxpayers money.
• United States Conference of Mayors
  COM is the nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more.

• Center for Civil Society Studies
  The Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies seeks to improve understanding and the effective functioning of not-for-profit, philanthropic, or “civil society” organizations in the United States and throughout the world.
• The Listening Post Project
  An initiative of the Center for Civil Society Studies, the LPP monitors what is happening to nonprofit organizations in the United States and has issued several communiqués and reports offering policy solutions to the issues presented. The National Council of Nonprofits is a member of the Listening Post Advisory Council.
• Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
  The Center conducts research and analysis to help shape public debates over proposed budget and tax policies and to help ensure that policymakers consider the needs of low-income families and individuals in these debates.
• State Fiscal Analysis Initiative

  An Initiative of the Pew Center on the States, Stateline is a nonprofit, nonpartisan online news site that practices journalism in the public interest by reporting on emerging trends and issues in state policy and politics.
