Hundreds of nonprofit organizations in region at risk of losing status

"It's very simple; an organization has to answer four questions online," said Jennifer Ross, Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations spokeswoman. "The challenge has been that organizations have not been aware of it."
She said organizations that have their status revoked by the IRS would have to pay an $850 fee to file a new application.
