Nonprofits struggle with funding cuts

Tim Delaney, president and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, said nonprofits are fighting a "quiet crisis."

Delaney said the government is cutting funding for nonprofits, which many rely on heavily, at the same time as they are serving an increasing number of clients.

"All of these fiscal burdens of the government are shifting onto the backs of small, local nonprofits," Delaney said. "It is breaking our backs."
