"If those nonprofits weren`t there to help provide those services, you`d see probably an increase in your taxes. You might see a loss of services, especially in the human services, homeless coalitions, and education," said Mitch Monson, the president of the North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations.

"We`re being asked to do so much more for people. While resources are coming down, donations are down from individuals, corporations and foundations," said Tim Delaney of the National Council of Nonprofits.
