A longtime ally of nonprofits and a web development specialist, Rick brings wide-ranging expertise to his role as Director of Administration & Operations for the National Council of Nonprofits. In managing the internal operations of the National Council, his areas of responsibility span finance, compliance, technology, and human resources.
In his time with the National Council, Rick has held a variety of leadership roles and is responsible for creating the National Council’s Nonprofit Economic Vitality Center, an online resource that helped draw attention to both challenges and solutions for nonprofits during the economic downturn.
Rick has held numerous positions at the National Council of Nonprofits, including serving as Membership and Communications Associate, Membership and Technology Specialist, and Director of Membership and Technology. Drawing from his varied responsibilities with the National Council, Rick has gained a unique perspective on the National Council and its state association network.
Rick joined the National Council in May 2005 after two years with the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers. A graduate of American University, Rick also holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University.
